I've never written a review for a product before but felt I had to this time.

I bought this tent to go camping alone with my two children, aged 7 and 5. I was quite apprehensive as I am not an experienced camper but decided to be brave!

We went to Anglesey for two nights, during which we had 30mph winds and torrential rain. The tent felt really sturdy and kept us warm and dry throughout the weekend. There is plenty of room for four people, the bedroom easily fits two double airbeds with room to spare, and the height of the tent means there is plenty of space to stand upright. The living area was a nice size, due to the weather we had to keep everything inside, so we had four chairs and a double camping kitchen/larder in there comfortably. It was easy to put up and take down, with no struggling to get it back in the bag at the end of the weekend.

All in all a perfect family tent!

Fantastic quality well thought out product at the best price online :) My wife and i took less than half an hour to erect and put all our belongings it it, Great access for Electric cable and totally brilliant in high winds and driving rain ( Cornwall in August 2010 ) This is the best tent we have owned in 30 years of camping. One suggestion Amazon purchasing buy the poles to let you convert the 2 openings into awnings. 2 poles and 2 guy lines per kit, A winner !

Great product for the price. Relatively easy to erect and good sized 'living' area. Fits back into bag after use ! Recommend using with groundsheet. Speedy delivery. Overall very satisfied.

I spent quite a while looking at tents online and trying to figure out the best option and I can honestly say you will not go wrong with this one. It is a great tent that is not too difficult to put up with just 3 poles to insert. It would be best to have a couple of people to erect this tent and I would recommend getting the footprint to go along with it as it helps you to pitch it and will avoid the tent getting overly wet and muddy underneath. We used it in some quite wet and harsh conditions and it was more than up to the task. You have a great living space with room for several chairs and a table as well as a very roomy bedroom space. We have a double bed and single bed for the 2 adults and 1 kid in my family and there is still plenty of room in the sleeping area for your clothes and other stuff. Overall if you are looking for a tent and are umming and ahrring over which one to get I strongly recommend this tent because you will struggle to get a better one for the money.

Not written a review before but this was so good I needed to reassure other novice campers of young children to be brave and go for it.

I had a sneaking feeling that my husband was not going to be such a keen camper, so had a trial run of putting the tent up in the garden and managed alone.
I finally bit the bullet and went on a trip last weekend despite the dreadful weather forecast (alas sans husband too!) Tent went up fine with only a little help from my diminutive 7 year old daughter. The rain belted down but the tent stayed up and totally dry and kept me, my 7 year old and twin 4 year olds toasty. It (just) fitted in 5 wide self inflating matresses (64cm wide each... not the really narrow ones you practically have to lie sideways on), so can indeed fit in a family of 5.

I got the footprint groundsheet too and would recommend it if you can fork out the extra. Just gives great additional peace of mind when you see bits of old firewood/stones lying around everywhere. This tent is fantastic value on amazon but the last thing you want is a hole in the main tent groundsheet.

There were a couple of mentions about how hard it was to get the pins in the poles which I found too until I realised there is a knack. Make sure you slacken off the straps which are only on one side of the tent. Insert the pin into the pole on the strapless side FIRST. Then ensuring the straps are loosened insert the pin into the pole on the strap side. Then retighten the straps. Also the "all in one" pitch whereby the inner tent is sown into the outer and the whole thing pitches straight up with no faff or multiple stages was brilliant. It was easier than the 2 man tent I had as a kid.

Internally the great standing height on the tent makes it very user friendly.

We are fair weather campers who for years had a large tent that took hours to erect, quite often in the blazing sunshine, we decided to downsize as it was not a fun way to start a weekend!! This new tent is so easy to put up, my husband and I did it in 15 minutes and myself and my 7 year old son took 20 minutes last weekend. As the bedroom is sewn in you don't have to faff around attaching the inners in a hot tent. A double and 2 single airbeds fit easily in the bed room and the dog in the "Lounge" (as the kids call it)!! Going from a 10 man dome tent to a 5 man tunnel I would actually say this 5 man tent feels more spacious. You can stand up in all of it, including the bedrooms. My only critism is that the bag it comes in is a bit flimsy and, as with all tent bags I've had you can never get the tent back in easily, we now keep the poles seperately as we can't fit them in the bag and knowing us I am sure one day they will get left behind at home!!
