although they seem good quality and hardwearing I am disappointed because they are very tight around the calf. I am not particularly muscular so I think any lady who is a walker will find it difficult to do them up (they're fine at the bottom its just a problem at the top of the zip). They just about fit on bare legs but over thick socks and trousers they're impossible to zip right to the top.

I found these gaiters a very good fit, very lightweight and comfortable.
The leg length was OK for my height, (5' 2") but I think they would be a little short in the length for taller people.

Nice product. Very light and comfortable to wear but they have a tendency to be quite tight around calves. They fitted me OK but anyone who has larger calves could find them too tight.

I purchased these Gaiters for my partner who happened to be particularly messy above ankle level when walking!
A nicely styled and lightweight ladies product that are easily fitted and fastened - I really like the large style zip which slides easily even when muddy.
The gaiters stay in place easily and really protect your clothing from whatever mother nature can throw at them/

Great for the price, bit of a footer to put on but have been great in the snow and have not had any leaks

These are the only gaiters I've ever had that really fit me. I have a small frame so the one-size-fits all type are hopeless. I don't find them tight around the calves at all, but I do wear them over sports leggings not baggy trousers. They rinse and dry quickly too. They may not be the toughest gaiters in the world but so far they've held up well to long walks over muddy peat moorland and thick heather, and they're so cheap I can replace them if they get tatty.
compared to my last pair which is heaview these have been a delight to wear. They certainly did their job when I landed off a tyle into 8 inches of mud and cow deposit. Great price too

I've used these now both hillwalking and for biking. They seem sturdy and waterproof and well-designed. A good value for what you pay. One note--I have fairly large calves for a woman because of biking, and if these were much smaller, they probably wouldn't fit, so you might go with a man's size if you are particularly muscular!
