Product Description

A special Christmas gift for fans of Sophie Kinsella, available to download for free! Includes a mini short story, Six Geese a-Laying, and sneak peak at the first chapter of Sophie's fabulous new novel, I've Got Your Number.

In Six Geese a-Laying, Christmas is approaching, and Ginny is looking forward to the birth of her first baby. It's a pity her partner Dan is so useless, and she has to keep reminding him where he's going wrong. Luckily she's enrolled into the most exclusive antenatal class going - all the highest achieving, smartest mothers-to-be aspire to be taught by the legendary Petal Harmon. Like the other five women in the class, Ginny already knows exactly what she wants, and how she's going to handle motherhood.

But when they turn up for the final class it isn't quite what they expect. As Ginny discovers what parenthood is really going to be like, she begins to realize the things that really matter...

i have to say im a huge fan of her books, so buying this little taster was a no brainer really!

read it quickly from start to finish, lovely little coffee break book.

loved the twists of the tale, would have liked to have known the characters a little more, but it was only a short story after all. my only criticism, it wasnt long enough for me!

anxiously awaiting her next book due out next year.

4.0 out of 5 stars lay back and enjoy this 16 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Who's up for a bit of genre-splicing? Chick-lit is not my normal fare but when a zing of the supernatural is added, I'll give it a whirl.

When Ginny is chosen for an exclusive antenatal group, she can't help feeling a little smug. These mums-to-be are afflicted with minor flaws of personality and judgment, and in the hands of a less capable writer they would come across as bitchy ciphers. Kinsella shows a deft touch, giving the women hearts to go with their barbs without skimping on the catty dialogue. An epiphany occurs when they are shown a very unusual presentation.

At just the right length for its material, the story moves with an assured airy pace and nice, unobtrusive description. The formatting and presentation are first rate and care has evidently been taken over the production values. A worthy effort that provokes a genuine desire to keep reading, at £0.00 you really should give it a whirl too.

5.0 out of 5 stars A festive gem 26 Dec 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a short story from the bestselling Sophie Kinsella, which tells the tale of six mothers-to-be (the 'geese') in a suitably festive setting. It's cleverly written, has good characterisation, will take you about 10-15 minutes to read and it's free. What more could you want? Recommended, particularly if you are already a fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars very short story
A typical Sophie Kinsella story. Easy to read, and a heroine who you cant help but root for. It is a very short, short story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Short Story
Very good story, a little spooky perhaps but nevertheless very entertaining. A quick coffee time read that can also be picked up again half way through if you haven't finished it.
