I like it 19 Mar 2011

I really like this phone as I was fed up with my other modern telephone. It has a loud ring that can be adjusted. It has a redail button. This phone unfortunately does not have caller display so you never know who is calling, but I can live without that. The down sides to this is that the curly cord is not that long so when you answer the phone the base lifts up, so it could of done with been a bit more heavier. The phone scratches easy when you have used it especially where you place the handset.Apart from that, its a cool phone.

I ordered this phone recently for my elderly mother and was so pleased with it that I have just ordered another for her bedroom. Her previous modern day phone was no good because the receiver was at an angle and she wasn't putting it down properly, so it was frequently off the hook. Because the receiver goes straight down at the top on this phone, it is perfect. The buttons are easy for her to see, there are essential hash and star keys and the colour is practical for an elderly person. A great purchase.

This 20th Century classic home land-phone design (or "clobber-phone") is bang on target in terms of aesthetics and comfort. The classic bell-ringer can be set to loud or quiet. The dialling mechanism is tone-dialling, therefore compatible with automated answering services where additional button presses are required. Star and Hash keys included. The familiar square push-button layout on this model is MADE for tone-dialling, allowing for quick "eyes closed" dialling. There are even discreet redial and recall buttons near to the receiver cradle. The only thing missing in this phone is the sheer weight of the original phone, useful for knocking-out burglars whilst making a 999 call. This faithful reproduction is still tough and well-built. Pity about the limited colour availability, although the white buttons stand out well against the black background.
