This 20th Century classic home land-phone design (or "clobber-phone") is bang on target in terms of aesthetics and comfort. The classic bell-ringer can be set to loud or quiet. The dialling mechanism is tone-dialling, therefore compatible with automated answering services where additional button presses are required. Star and Hash keys included. The familiar square push-button layout on this model is MADE for tone-dialling, allowing for quick "eyes closed" dialling. There are even discreet redial and recall buttons near to the receiver cradle. The only thing missing in this phone is the sheer weight of the original phone, useful for knocking-out burglars whilst making a 999 call. This faithful reproduction is still tough and well-built. Pity about the limited colour availability, although the white buttons stand out well against the black background.

I really like this phone as I was fed up with my other modern telephone. It has a loud ring that can be adjusted. It has a redail button. This phone unfortunately does not have caller display so you never know who is calling, but I can live without that. The down sides to this is that the curly cord is not that long so when you answer the phone the base lifts up, so it could of done with been a bit more heavier. The phone scratches easy when you have used it especially where you place the handset.Apart from that, its a cool phone.

i wanted a land line phone plugged into a socket for when the mains failed and you can use a dect phone. but i didn't just want and cheap argos value phone for a fiver. so i found this. it's a big phone and takes up quite a bit of space on the bedside table. but it's a lovely looking phone, and the ringer is loud. it starts even before my dect phones have started to ring.

I ordered this phone recently for my elderly mother and was so pleased with it that I have just ordered another for her bedroom. Her previous modern day phone was no good because the receiver was at an angle and she wasn't putting it down properly, so it was frequently off the hook. Because the receiver goes straight down at the top on this phone, it is perfect. The buttons are easy for her to see, there are essential hash and star keys and the colour is practical for an elderly person. A great purchase.

I bought the black telephone and it arrived with the wrong lead so it wasn't possible to connect it to a BT line. I called the helpline and they offered to post out the right lead and that arrived a couple of days later.

I've read the other reviews and quite a few say that the wrong lead was sent. The person I spoke to from Geemarc didn't seem surprised that this had happened again.

The telephone works fine, although it is not very heavy so talking on the phone whilst standing up means that it doesn't have enough weight inside it to keep it on the table. There's no obvious solution other than either sitting down for every call or putting it on something higher.

The piece of plastic where you can write your telephone number doesn't have a cover, so it doesn't stay down properly.

It looks good though and wasn't too expensive, but I am a bit disappointed with it.
