I used to have a BT caller display unit (CD 1500) which was ideal for me - it not only stored names as well as numbers, but you could also just press a button to dial someone in your phonebook. Sadly, that unit eventually expired and the model appears to have been discontinued, and I've been searching for an alternative ever since. This model is very pricey, and less versatile than the BT version (you have to add everything manually in a certain methodical way, the actual caller display only remains on screen for a brief period and you can't dial out via the unit), but it does have the added convenience of being 'wireless' (well, you plug in a smaller unit, connect your extra telephone wire to that and then place your separate caller display unit somewhere suitable). Frankly, I still miss my old model, and (IMHO) this ought to be about £10 or more cheaper, but at least it serves a purpose, and it looks rather smart.
