Amusing for a little while but could do with more difficulty levels etc The 3D element can be a little nauseating but can be switched off.

3.0 out of 5 stars Battleships on Kindle 27 Feb. 2013

As I loved this game as a boy I thought I would enjoy a 3D version on Kindle Fire HD. The graphics are certainly good although the games progression is somewhat slow. Nevertheless still a good game. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars classic game 4 Jan. 2013

I've played a few games now and so far haven't had any problems, no invincible ship like the other review, maybe they got fixed? The gameplay just as the original was apart from now you get to see everything shooting and launching missiles, fighters and such which is nice and if your in a hurry you can turn them off to save time, managed to finish a quick game about 2 mins before bed. overall prob the best game I have at the moment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better... 27 Dec. 2012

I bought this on a whim in the middle of the night. I was, initially, really pleased with it, but then after about five minutes I started to notice problems. The camera swoops from side to side far too much. It swoops to the opponent's grid so you can select a square, then swoops back your grid so that you can watch one of your ships firing, then back to opponent to watch whether it hits or misses. It makes the game take forever and actually made me feel a little nauseous after about ten minutes. It could have been done without all the showing-off twisty camera work, and would have been better for it.
This game is also quite buggy, and I am surprised that it has been made available on Amazon App Store because of this, let alone the fact that I had to pay for it. You register a hit from a successful shot to your opponent's fleet. Naturally you try and work out which way the ship is lying so that you can sink it, and so you fire again. You miss. That's ok, it is obviously lying the other way, or else is going off in the other direction. You fire again, to the side of the flames that indicate a hit and you miss. Again. You take out every square around that 'hit' and they all turn out to be misses, which is impossible as every ship is at least two squares long. Now i have been left with a ship that I cannot destroy. Computer wins. It did this every time I have played and so I did not play it again. In fact, I may remove it from my tablet altogether.
