Very good.The singer, Rosemary Stanley has a very distinctive voice, good and strong, that took a few listens to grow on me. The band are multi-national, but are based in France and they have the same kind of sound as French bands like Les Negresses Verte, but they're basically playing American Folk.There's some good tunes and clever lyrics, especially on the jaunty and slightly surreal Jimmy and the thoughtful and moving Private Lily.
The second cd is worth it and contains demos, alternate versions and strong live performances of some of the songs on the first cd.Recommended and if you like this check out Mad Tea Party's cd Found A Reason - they're crazy,man.

Love this album, unusual vocals and great lyrics. Its helping rekindle my love of folk based music and simple guitar and harmonica melodies help get away from the complicated electronic music of today.

This is truely an awesome CD! Again, I liked Jimmy, Cottonflower, and Fireday. I never really like the other songs and didn't really listen to them. I heared the ones I like on Youtube. I then found free MP3's of them. Then later I found I like this band so much I wanted to buy the CD for my own liking of the band, also to support Moriarty. I ordered this one first and then I ordered The Missing Room. I recieved The Missing Room first and LOVED it. It took like a few more days for this CD to come in and I loved it as well and I really enjoy the other songs!!!! I loved every song of Moriarty now.
