5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent card and an affordable price 7 Mar 2014
I upgrade to a GTX 770 from a GTX660. Whilst the previous card was by no means outdated, I decided it was time to try for a boost in my system performance.

The card comes well packaged, along with documentation (albeit very short!) and a drivers disk to help you get started (I would recommend you installing the latest nVidia drivers directly from their site as opposed to using the one supplied on the disk).

The card is slightly larger than my old GTX 660, but was stil able to comfortably fit into my medi tower. Althought it would definitely be worth making sure this card WILL fit before purchasing.

In terms of performance, this card is fantastic; I've noticed around a 30% increase in frames on most of my new titles, whilst actually using higher settings.

Thief 4 - Everything maxed out with the exception of FXAA - 60fps with vysnc enabled.
BF4 - Everything completely maxed out - 80fps with vsync disabled.
Metro: Last Light - Maxed out - 30-40 fps with vsync enabled.
Batman Arkham Origins - Maxed out with FXAA set to low - 60fps with vsync enabled

I could go on, but the above titles are pretty big performance hitters, so I'm hoping you'll be able to compare this to older ones if need be.

Bottom line is, buy this card. For the price and the performance, you'll be hard pushed to find anything better at the time of writing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Upgraded from 560TI 27 Feb 2014

I ordered this card from eBuyer which was a mistake, not only do they have stupid security requirements (which include emailing your passport photo page) it was more expensive. Amazon delivered quicker too. This model did not come with Assasins Creed which I wasn't bothered about and was a bit of a tight fit in my full size case. Took me 10 minutes to install and setup, which included reinstall of the nVidia drivers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast and Powerful! 20 Feb 2014

Bought this as the final part of my computer upgrade, and being the second GPU i've owned, safe to say it completely overpowered my expectations! Was easy to install, both the part and the drivers, still had no issues with overheating, and plays all my games no problem at all! I almost didn't choose this card, but thought i may as well as i finally had the money, and it was definitely the right choice!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best bang for the buck 19 July 2013

I recently bought an Alienware Aurora i7 980 Xtreme from eBay. Alienware are the sports cars of the computer gaming world: only an idiot would buy them new, but they are very reasonable second hand (and actually cheaper than a self-build, more durable and look better). As is usual with eBay though, the seller was selling for a good reason: this was a very fast CPU but limited by a pair of ATI 6770s in crossfire. I certainly needed a faster graphics card to match the '980X.

I took a look at Passmark to see what was what, and that listed the GTX 770 as the third fastest graphics card in the 'high end video cards' table (as of 18 July 2013), with a score of 6327. Only two cards are faster, the GTX780 (7922) and the GTX titan (8269). Looking at the cost of the other two cards, I decided the 770 was the best price-performance ratio, especially when I can stick another one in for SLI later when the prices drop a little. This was incidentally why I also picked a mainstream make such as ASUS - they are likely to be in production in 10 months time when I might want to go SLI. Further, the ASUS has a metal backplate on it, so the airflow when I get two in SLI will not be compromised (without the backplate, you can find dust getting snagged on the pins on the back of the first card as air blows over it from the second card). The backplate also makes the card more ridged: important because the heatsink is quite heavy.

Once I'd put the CPU on overclock (4GHz), I was ready to start benchmarking.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unsure what to expect 1 July 2014

I decided to upgrade a computer my friend sold me for a bargain of 200.

The graphics card was 6 years old, so I decided to upgrade this first.

I bought this for 239.99 after reading countless reviews and benchmarks, it was really the best option for my price range of 800 for the whole computer, I could have spent more and got the GTX 780, but hey, this is capable. I would recommend the 4Gb version if you have 2 monitors.

I play on a 32 inch 1080p HD TV, with the old card everything seemed a bit smudged, no crisp image.

Plugged this onto my motherboard. Damn, you need a 600w power supply, I didn't notice this prior, so I ordered a 750w just to be sure I wouldn't have any power issues.

Loaded the computer up when the PSU came, and WOW. Crisp image galore. It did take a while to adjust the screen, but when you update and install the driver you get a desktop tool which lets you manually set the perimeter. Perfect fit.

Crisp clear display on desktop, played Payday 2 and WoW on it with very good results.

Would highly recommend this card as a medium/ high end build, and people looking for bang for their buck.
