Length: 0:37 Mins
First: I am not a gamer. I am, however, a multi-tasker who frequently renders video while doing other productivity tasks.

This card replaced the 14-month old OEM ASUS card that had suddenly started introducing intermittent Windows 7 shutdowns.

If you're considering this card, make sure:
-you have an adequate power supply (this card has a 150 watt demand, and my 350 OEM PSU was not up to the task of running everything else and this card)
-your power supply has an available PCI-e 6-pin power cord (mine had none; so a power supply upgrade became part of this task)
-your case is deep enough to accommodate the length of this card (mine did..not through planning, but through dumb luck)
-you have adequate clearance to accommodate the height of this card.

Installation was trouble free. After installing the provided drivers and video utility (which includes an overclocking capability that I won't use), the utility acquired a more recent version from the ASUA site.

My random shutdown issue is resolved. This card runs very quietly and I can again multi-task with confidence.

Twice as fast as my old AMD HD5830 and quieter. FPS in unigine Heaven3.0 benchmark and 3Dmark11 both doubled.
My old AMD Phenom II X4 970 processor does not seem to hold this card back much at all, good news for cheapskate upgraders like me.
I first bought a Gigabyte GTX660 but returned it after I suspected a hardware defect, and went for this ASUS one instead.

pros:
-excellent silent cooler, even under load!
-low temps (27C idle, 60C gaming)
-high quality design
-factory overclock

cons:
-slightly higher power consumption than other GTX660s
-not specific to this model but...Nvidia's multi-monitor support is not as good as AMD's (no possibility to independently scale cloned monitors like with AMD, and settings kept randomly resetting in control panel)

*will update review if anything blows up

UPDATE June 2014:
one of the fans has developed a very slight rattling noise (a minor irritation), otherwise all good.

I wasn't looking for something overly powerful. Does just the job with 3 screens plugged into it for photo editing. Handles the load without fuss!

it made world of tanks harder to play for a couple of reasons.

1. there is so much on screen now it gets in the way of what you're trying to shoot!
2. you get killed cause your looking at the lovely maps lol

oh and asus.... put a bloody power lead in the box!!!!!!!!!!!!!

easy set up and installation.

Took my system to the next level, is silent, cool and is a total breeze. Video rendering made a whole new difference. Arrived within two days (to Greece) and my experience from the moment it arrived till it fit on the motherboard was seamless. You should see how it clipped straight away. Immaculate packaging and a fantastic GPU tweak tool, what more could I ask?

Had this card for just under a week, its great! its a marked step up from my last card (gtx 460) and i haven't had any problems with it. I would highly recommend this card. For the price you cant go wrong. oc settings on it are great, and it runs very cool and quite, i can see this card lasting along time.

The setup was very easy and the gpu tweeter is a very handy piece of software to have, it allows me to monitor exactly what is going on with the card.

Have been able to run everything very well, eg i was running dayZ at a steady 40fps on a high setting, where as on my 460 it was closer to 30, The Witcher 2 runs everything at ultra settings and looks great, very smooth running.

Even ignoring the fact that the card has the best performance per pound ratio, this is a fantastic card for the money.

ASUS stripping off the reference cooler and using DIrectCU makes it a cool, quiet card sitting at 36C on idle in my cramped case.

Plays everything you can by today without hassle at 1080p.
