This product is very good as other LG electronics products.
I have DVD-writers on my desktop pcs and works very well.
I purchase this writer because I had purchase in 2008 a sony vaio laptop that comes with a blu-ray writer (the reason for what I choose sony). Others manufacturers ships their laptops with combo blu-ray. Since my sony went to repaor eight times in one year, I exchange the laptop for one HP Pavillion, that comes with a combo blu-ray. Since I have bluray writable discs I don't loose my investiment. I try to seach what recorder fits my laptop. It was sata and I couldn't find one anywhere. When I visit amazon it has the recorger that I want. The product writes at 4x speed, but my discs are 2x and I could get maximum speed yet. But it writes good with nero at 2x.
