I needed a replacement for my 3 burner gas BBQ due to it perishing from the rust worm. This BBQ looked different and had a good specification. I had a look on the Campingaz website, strangely the French version of the site gave more details re; pictures and grill size, etc. I paid £159.99 price might go down winter time.
Delivery was very quick even on standard free delivery(3 days). However a word of warning, you will have to assemble this BBQ from scratch. If you do not like putting things together( It reminded me of my Meccano set many many years ago) then this BBQ is not for you. I am reasonably competent at DIY and it still took me about 2 1/2 hours of slowly but methodically putting the parts together. If you have an electric screwdriver it will help.The instructions are fairly clear and thankfully all the parts were in the box.
This BBQ will easily cater for 6 people , it gets hot very quickly the side burner is really useful, I did'nt realise it would be so useful. the hotplates and fat collectors are easy to clean, you can put them in the dishwasher. I use propane gas which means you can use the BBQ all year round. It is a good height, very comfortable to use, the metal side tables need a covering to stop scratches,(I use the clear cover that you use to cover books 50p a roll from Wilkinsons).
The food cooks really nicely I am glad I bought this BBQ rather than a traditional hooded BBQ because it just seems to cook really quickly and cooks the food perfectly.
If you have not already got a cover you must buy the Campingaz universal cover (large) this is a really thick PVC and fits superbly, also the price of just over £10 is unbeatable. Recommended.
