Born in Manchester as Heath was beating Wilson, Kissinger was laying waste to Cambodia and Mungo Jerry were enjoying drink-fuelled cruising 'In The Summertime', Gavin Smith has amassed a fair collection of job titles and qualifications in his 42 years.
Having acquired and failed to make much use of degrees in English Lit. and Law, Gavin has been a greengrocer, a night porter in Yellowstone Park, a benefits clerk, an emergency operator, a radio dispatcher, an ambulance-chasing lawyer, a police officer and a magazine editor.
Gavin's debut novel, Bright Spark, draws heavily on his experiences as a police detective. Follow up novels are in progress.
Gavin lives in Lincoln without children, dogs or other noisy annoyances.
