Gaudi - a brief biography 15 May 2011
By Mr. John F. Wilks - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
If you are like me and hitherto knew nothing about the man who designed the Sagrada Familia other than that single fact, then this book is for you. If covers his life, education, religious and political affiliations, his impact on Spanish life and how he saw architecture as an expression of beauty, his Catalan nationalism and his wish to render homage to God.

Every right-hand side page has a full colour photo of his startlingly original style, either as an interior or exterior shot, with the facing left page comprised of text and further, smaller photos blended into the dialogue. It truely is a treasure and a delight to own.
