More About the Author

PLEASE NOTE the b&w edition of GATEWAY TO THE HEAVENS was replaced by a COLOUR edition as of MAY 1st 2014.

The patterns underlying life have always fascinated me as a mathematician and artist. Why are they there? What for? What do they mean? Why and how can we use them? Essentially my passion is symbolism, but from a multifaceted perspective. I take into account the science behind numbers, shapes, light and colours, for example, and their roles and purposes in forming reality as well as their use as symbols and tools in the Arts and in spirituality. In this way I describe how you can understand science through art and symbolism, such as how the circle describes the attributes of time, and also appreciate the magic of alchemy in art. Naturally I use symbolism extensively in my art and I also thoroughly enjoy doing talks.

My books are based on extensive research into subjects covering the Sciences, Arts and beliefs. They are always highly illustrated with insightful quotes and examples across disciplines and cultures. I hope they inspire readers to look at reality with fresh eyes and to delve further for themselves.

Born in Africa, I currently live in the Britain with my Canadian husband.

This an excellent book! It thoroughly covers a vast and complex subject in a way any reader could understand, even if they had no previous knowledge. The combination of academic and esoteric is very well-balanced. Nearly all pages have several illustrations and relevant thought provoking quotations. The best book I have found on the subject!

Fantastic read and reference book. It is very comprehensive and creative. The photos and images used to explain the geometry and patterns in the universe are very well chosen and appropriate. I liked it so much, that I actually bought it as a present for a couple of friends who are very keen on geometrical shapes in the universe and their manifestations.

I love this book and recommend it highly. Using examples from all over the world, it explains so much more than it promises to.
