Again another edge of the Seat book in the Matt Drake series. As you reach the gripping climax near the end you think how can another story be written then you are given the reason and left open mouthed and definitely wanting more. Twists and turns with the unexpected every time you turn a page. This author is definitely not one to miss if you like reading a book you can't put down!

Well there was I thinking this was going to the final part and low and behold we move onto part 4 the final part!!! What a series this is turning out to be. I think the story is just getting stronger and stronger and the characters really developing with out giving to much away , Matthew and his associates are still on the trail of the Blood King and pursue him through various types of mayhem ultimately travelling down into the bowels of the earth having to avoid an amazing trap system to ultimately arrive at their goal. Yet again another real twist at the end can't wait for the next part great work David keep it up.

This is a brilliant thriller. I have read all three books now and I can't wait for the next Matt Drake. Full of brilliant characters and really nasty villains.
Also the pace is headlong most of the time. I really resented having to put it down.

What can I say! Having read the previous 2 books in this trilogy and now completed book 3, I feel I can now breathe again. The world has been saved and there is a great, tight band of good people out there making sure it stays that way by going into action as, wherever and whenever necessary. There were so many things I loved about the storyline and the main characters in these books including the way factual events were interwoven into the storyline. This seemed to make it all the more real for me. Indeed, I not only read the words but saw the action taking place. I was there! I have only once before read an author's books one after the other without a break. That other author was Louise Penny. I will be following your writing with great interest, Mr Leadbeater and have already purchased your other 2 books.

I've read the previous 2 Matt Drake books and this continues the save vein. Part Indiana Jones part Clive Cussler. This books continues straight after book 2 and the chase after the Blood King. It's all a little far fetched and a little silly but still a very entertaining little slice of escapism. Only a few of the characters are really fleshed out the rest you could forget easily, the geek Ben is a bit annoying and feels a little tacked on. The action scenes are definitely improving and all flow quite well. The proof reading is also pretty good for a budget book. Many others are riddled with errors.
These books are under a quid and are great value. I was happy to order the 4th and final book in this series which is also only 99p.

Finished this book recently and have to say I greatly enjoyed it. The quest to find and capture the Blood King is an enthralling read, with plenty of action and adventure. I found the plot of this book quite interesting with the Gates of Hell bit being particularly inventive. Quite enjoyed catching up with the characters again and would definitely recommend this book to anyone who has already read the first books in the series and enjoyed them. The only slight niggle was an ongoing feud between two of the female characters which grates a bit after a while, but apart from that, I thought it was rather good.

Another fantastic, edge of your seat, page turner. I loved this book as David Leadbeater is not afraid to go full throttle with his villians, he doesn't shy away from making them as vile as can be. All the characters are believable and likeable. I like the fact that when some of the characters have do something out of their comfort zone to save themselves or a loved one they just do it and there's no crying or moaning or over analysing it, its you or them, end of. I would highly recommend all of his books they really are good fun to read.

Great read, this is the third of the Matt Drake series First is The Bones Of Odin (Matt Drake 1), then The Blood King Conspiracy (Matt Drake #2).

Matt Drake is retired from the SAS (you know the type), all three books are fast paced with loads of action and some brilliant characters.

If you like the The Sacred Sword (Ben Hope 7) books you are going to enjoy these, looking forward to number 4
