For those of you who don't know the Gasaraki anime series revolves around the Gowa family who are developing next generation bipedal weapon systems known as Tactical Armour units. however they are not alone in this endevour as a multi national group called Symbol also has access to these weapons and are keen to destroy Gowa.

As this volume opens the war in belgistan has finally ended and the japanese TA team has returned home to Japan. However strife and conflict seems to follow them as Gowa's main research facility is raided by Symbol's fakes and we learn a terrible secret about Yushiro. Meanwhile the rest of the TA team are kept in secclusion by the JSSDF supposedly to protect them. The final episode of the DVD reveals to us the ancient terror that Miharu tried to prevent Yushiro from summoning. The action culminates with a battle on the ancient stage of stone where the modern world meets the ancient one and there can only be one victor.

The extras on the DVD are varied and informative ranging from the episode production sheets that explain various elements of the world of Gasaraki, to a behing the scenes look at how dialogue is recorded for the series. Both the sound and picture are excellent and includes the japanese audio track as standard. The only poor point is the lack of a 5.1 mix but otherwise it is satisfactory.

Many mysteries are explained in this volume but many more remain to be solved in the world of Gasaraki...
