These chargers will not allow you to use the satnav while charging. They charge the unit perfectly and the mains one is a good idea, but who wants to charge the unit in the car and not use it? My original manufacturers lead charged while operating, but a genuine replacement cost a lot more than this. Overall a good buy if you only want to charge the batteries but do not think it is a replacement for an original lead.

The product was absolutely useless. I used it once before it died. Moreover, you can't use it and charge it at the same time. I'm not convinced its Garmin.

This charger makes it much easier to take a fully charged Sat Nav out in the car with you. It is a lot cheaper than I have found anywhere else and works well.

SatNav Charger
My Garmin SatNav was incompatible to my Fiat Punto. I need to charge for several hours from a home socket but the SatNav then navigates me around for most of day.

Lost in post
This item did not arrrive for 20 days after ordering. Lost in post and had to be re-ordered.

It does the job, but...
When connected to the car charging unit, it thinks you've connected it to a computer...and stops navigating. The mains charger is perfect and works a treat. Read more

Garmin Home Charger and In-car Charger Kit
I uesed this item to charge up my StaNav at Home before transfering to pernamantly on the car recharger. Which is in my car all the time now.

Don't waste your money
My Garmin 310 Sat Nav recognises it as a computer link and cannot be used whilst charging. Not much use in the car. Do yourself a favour and get a genuine one!

Car charger that doesn't work in the car
My previous car chargers have all charged my Garmin whilst in use. This one makes the Garmin think that it is a PC so it won't charge whilst using it.

Roaming
Very useful having the additional chargers as I don't have to keep rembering to swap them between sites and the car. Works well.

Doesn't last long
The AC charger works fine but the car charger lasted about 5 charges until one day it started smoking and the plastic end seemed to have been melted by the cigarette lighter. Read more
