I bought this mount as I wasnt sure my Garmin came with a mount. They both came together and low and behold the sat nav did come with a mount, before I sent this back I thought I'd give it a test drive (quite literally). So I compared the two and ease of use, this is absolutely leaps and bounds better than the standard one! its more sturdy, has a seperate USB port, has a rubber release to get the thing off easier, and is MUCH simpler and quicker to put on. It also has multi angle adjustments for that "just right" angle I'm after.

Bulky but very strong,

Bought this item because the one that came with my Garmin Nuvi gave up the ghost and bits started to fall off after a couple of years. This product does the job. It is sturdy and sticks brilliantly to the windscreen even on bumpy and uneven roads. It's fairly adjustable, but not as adjustable as one with a ball socket. I found it a rather more bulky than I'd like, but I'm used to it now. 4 stars because it does the job, but I'm just not delighted with it.
