Although it is well made, it is expensive for a piece of resin, but cycling addicts will appreciate that it looks good and is very practical, putting the Garmin just where it needs to be for a quick glance (especially if you are using the many displays of the 500, which can take some negotiating). It attaches securely using a hinged mount and key (supplied). It is a much firmer fit than the bar mounted flexible plastic ones usually supplied with the Garmin, so may be more secure, but it is still worth detaching your Garmin whenever you are away from the bike. Expecting some envious looks on this year's Sportives, but in reality every serious cyclist will have one. Worth experimenting with the angle to avoid reflections.

The product looks good but is made of brittle resin which snaps easily. Worked well until first minor impact which resulted in the clamp breaking next to the screw and the retaining ring in two places where the Edge is to be held in place. No hope for further use without much duct tape!

There is no break-away point in the shaft. An alternative model made of more durable material would be desirable for mountainbike use. Perhaps hard rubber would be better.

Very expensive for an easily-broken bracket. The value could be better.

After buying a new bike, my spare stem mount would not fit onto the new bike due to the Di2 junction box fitted in the underside of the stem, therefore I had to choose a mount that would move the Garmin out in front if the stem. Fitted no problem at all in minutes, very good quality and is great for reading the display when you are flat out with your nose buried in the bars!

Great bit of kit and compliments the bike seamlessly and much preferable both aesthetically and practically (I.e. closer to my line of sight) to the standard Garmin stem mount.
I've not had to adjust it since mounting but have only run it for 1 month.
It is however expensive ultimately for a piece of plastic, but worth it.
Ps Delivery was next day as promised.

This is very useful mount ot have if you want to place your Garmin ahead of the stem on your bike so it's easier to read at a glance. It is well made from good quality plastics and has metal inserts where the bolts fit to ensure you get a secure clamp load. The quarter turn mount can be rotated so it can take both edge and Forerunner units (I'm using a 310xt). Will also fit over-size and standard diameter handle bars sections as it comes with a removable rubber insert in the clamp.

If I was going to pick fault I would say that at £27 or so it is a bit pricey for what is essentially a mass produced moulded plastic part. I can't comment on longevity yet but I would hope it lasts a fair while given the price.

I use this bracket with a Garmin 510 and it works perfectly allowing the unit to be in my eye-line whilst riding. It's well made although a lille expensive and would be nice if it was adjustable to left or right offset which it isn't. I suppose when you have spent nearly £300 on a bike computer you want it firmly held and this bracket does what it says on the tin.

Verdict: When I had finished grumbling about the price I love it

Very good product robust but expensive, easy to fit and looks great on front of bike. Makes Garmin easy to see

but it doesn't quite rate 5/5.
Firstly it's a bit pricey for what it is. I know you're getting an OEM accessory, but even so.
Secondly, it does look like it wouldn't survive an impact at all.
Thirdly, there's no rotational adjustment, i.e. if you have to attach the mount where the handlebar is not horizontal, the Edge will be angled slightly to the left or right.
Still better than on a too steeply angled stem though.
