My original broke after 7 years, and replaced it with this one with no adverse effects. Does exactly what its supposed to do, and a great price tag.

Garmin cable 19 Jan 2012

The original cable supplied with the GPS failed after 2 years casual use. The connector failed to engage properly into the mount adaptor. The bad connection caused the unit to fail to charge and sometimes to reset. Both these effects very unhelpful when using a GPS. Also the cable is very expensive.

Nice to see that Garmin have modified the power lead, as the original lead pulled out of the plug and was irrepairable, Amazon cheapest on the net.

Essential item for in-car Zumo

What more can I say - if you take the Zumo off your bike and use it on the car, buy this cable.

Garmin in car charger/data cable

I use this cable to programme my nuvi 765 at home using mains adaptor rather than the unit's battery. I have more control than using the USB cable.
