Product Description

Forerunner 210 (without heart rate monitor)

Quick and Simple-to-use

Garmin Forerunner 210: It's also a watch
Garmin Forerunner 210: It's also a watch

The Garmin Forerunner 210 is an easy-to-use GPS sportswatch that measures your time, pace, distance and more. There is virtually no setup required, so it is ideal for runners who simply want to step outside, acquire satellites and start their workout. It is also suitable for improving runners and those wanting to take their training to the next level with intervals and zone training.

Easy to use

There are four buttons around the watch face, corresponding to start/stop, menu, lap/reset and a backlight. There are two different displays – one shows the time and date, the other is a timer page which also shows pace and distance. This means you can use the Forerunner 210 as a watch while you're not exercising.

Train Smarter, Not Harder

Whether you're training to complete your first 5k or you want to get faster and fitter, accurate workout data is the key. Forerunner 210 uses GPS to accurately record your distance, time and pace. Data from each run is stored in the unit, so you can go back and see how you did last week or last month.

Take it further

Forerunner 210 also lets you create customised interval sessions and monitor your pace during each one. Create work-outs based on time, distance and/or rest intervals during your training session.

Review, Relive and Replay

Tracking your data is simple with Garmin Connect™. Visit the website at http://connect.garmin.com for free data analysis and sharing. Just upload to Garmin Connect from your PC or Mac, then see the route you travelled on a map, view a summary of your work-out data, create goals, monitor your progress and more.

Fast and Accurate

Forerunner 210 features HotFix® satellite prediction, which means it locks onto satellites quickly so you can be out the door and on your run in no time. It also has a high-sensitivity GPS receiver to stay locked onto satellites, even near tall buildings or under tree cover.

While 210 can be worn as a watch even when you're not working out, you can also power it down completely to conserve battery life.

Optional accessories

The Forerunner 210 is also available with a heart rate monitor to measure beats per minute and enables you to customise to your exact zones and accurately measure your calories burned.

An optional footpod enables you to measure your workout indoors, on a treadmill for example, making it ideal for those who like to train in a gym as well as outside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this watch! 22 Jan 2013

This 210 is a great GPS running watch, well designed, nice and discreet on wrist (I'm smallish female). I don't have to lug my iPhone round with me any more. I could never read the iPhone display while running anyway so I treated myself to a GPS watch. Looked at a few brands, went with Garmin, went basic. (After a nightmare try with the BAD BAD BAD 410 - please do not buy the 410 - one word - bezel).
By contrast, the 210 is lovely, easy to navigate menus, 4 buttons, picks up signal within few seconds. Good lap indicator, useful for setting intervals, nice display for current pace/speed, average pace/speed, distance. Holds battery charge beautifully, I charge it once a week (I run with it about 20 miles a week). It has really enhanced my love of running. I'm at the stage where I'm trying to get a bit of speed into my half marathon distance so this watch helps me monitor my paces rather than guess them. Connects fairly easily with Garmin website via my Mac, so you can download and analyse your stats but you can also do this on the watch's History menu - it keeps all your runs and you can see your mile split times on the watch while you're having your reward coffee and donut.
Buy and enjoy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good watch 2 Mar 2013
This watch is perfect for those runners who wish to record there results and compete against there previous runs. I live in Orkney and i find the watch connects in about a minute or so. It is also good for doing interval training inside which i also use it for. The only thing is that i would i would prefer to upload my workouts wirelessly to my computer which you can do with some of the newer watches. Battery life is good when not using it to during exercise however if using constantly for exercise it may only last a couple of days before needing to be charge again.

Returned the Garmin FR 210 on 2 occasions due to "fogging" on inside of display, despite never having been immersed in water and only very light use of product (search on google for Garmin fogging issues, there are plenty of warnings there). It would fog up as soon as worn sometimes. With the 3rd replacement all was going well until one morning I went to go for a run and found that my Garmin FR 210 would freeze after 15 seconds of being turned on, it would then reset itself to the main logo screen and continue to freeze every 15 seconds. Phoned up Garmin and was told I would have to pay for a replacement. I could understand if I had dropped it or not taken care of it, but for it to develop a fault through shoddy workmanship and then expect me to line their pockets with more money for a replacement is a joke. I won't be buying garmin products anymore and would advise that others think carefully before being duped with this bit of tat.Garmin Forerunner 210 GPS Sportswatch

Recently I purchased a Forerunner 210 watch but on my first run the face steamed up. I returned the watch through an excellent RMA process with Amazon and was promptly reimbursed. This is what I call first class customer support.
I decided to send my old Forerunner 205 for repair as the battery appeared to be gone plus the gold fingers fell off when I removed the back. I was only charged £38 for the repair but didn't figure they would do this when they seen the watch on return. To my surprise and gratitude they have sent me what appears to be at the minimum a first class refurbished watch. The whole process from contacting Garmin to set up the return (Ireland) to get the watch back took about a week which beat their estimate of 10 days.
I just felt it fair to call out great customer support from Garmin and to be honest they'll always have me as a customer even if the 210 range has issues as their support has blown me away.
Well done Amazon and Garmin and many thanks.

2.0 out of 5 stars Only good for wide-open spaces 15 Mar 2014
By Vic
The problem with this watch is that it doesn't like buildings as it easily loses contact with the satellites, which is unfortunate if you live in a town or city. It is also quite unresponsive to changes of pace. It's a good product if you live on a prairie, or the Russian steppe, and don't have to slow down to cross roads etc.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unreliable Garmin 210 6 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase
The product generally functioned well although the display misted over with condensation during one of my runs. This condensation problem occurred without the watch even getting wet during a run in dry conditions. The condensation problem did not reoccur, but 6 weeks after delivery the watch display just went out of control for no reason and would not function anymore. After checking on some Internet forums I could see that the problems I encountered were not unique. I am very disappointed in the product reliability, but more disappointed as it appears that the problems I encountered are known ones, which in my view can only be from a defective product design and/or poor manufacturing quality control.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great running buddy 6 Oct 2013
Verified Purchase
Bought this for my girlfriend after I had bought myself a Garmin Forerunner 410. This watch doesn't have as many functions but is a bit more more straight forward to use for this. Setting it up with Garmin Connect is easy and uploading your training runs is quick and simple providing you with detailed analysis of your running history. Very reliable and a perfect training aid to add motivation when running on your own.
Would buy again from this manufacturer and the service from the seller was first class and would buy again from them.

Great Watch, Picks up GPS very quick. I was between this and the Nike version but have no regrets going for this "sensible" look watch as opposed to the trendy Nike one.
