As always with Garmin equipment, the standard of manufacture is excellent, but the cost is too. I bought this to replace my lost case as protection when you take the unit off the bike is vital given that it will end up stuffed somewhere or jammed under a seat when you go for a wander. The one thing that irritated me most though was the lack of miniature screwdriver used for the security screw on the bike mount. The only reason anyone would buy this case is to replace a lost one and chances are the screwdriver would be with it. Given the cost, one would have thought it reasonable to include this. Still it was my fault for losing the original, and I still have to admit that Garmin do make some really nice gear in terms of quality.

Good case, but the Zumo 550 GPS comes with one.

I ordered the case before my new Zumo 550 Motorcycle GPS arrived. The case is solid and has a cool rubberized tire tread pattern front cover that will definitely protect the screen. Internally there is a little pocket for things like the security screw driver, spare SD memory cards, etc. The extra large zipper pulls make it handy to open if you have gloves on. All around it's a good case, but keep in mind that when you purchase the Zumo 550 GPS, it already comes with one, so you may not have to order this one unless you loose the one that comes with the GPS ;-). I say this because I ended up returning it when I discovered that I ended up with 2 (one from the GPS, and the other I had ordered with out knowing that the GPS came with one). Oh well live and learn. Amazon made it a simple process to return it.

Don't need the case if you buy the Zumo

Amazon suggested I buy the case. There was no reason to because one comes with the Zumo GPS.

Garmin carrying case

Good sturdy case. It is a lot stronger and padded than the one that came with the Zumo 550.
