So simple to use and totally effective. Peel one or two cloves of garlic and insert through the top door, grip firmly and roll up and down your work surface or chopping board if your work surface may mark, a couple of rolls will result in small chunks of garlic, just keep going until the garlic is chooped as finely as required, keep going for a mush. Then turn your Zoom upside down and tap a couple of times so that the garlic collects in the top, open your Zoom in the centre and your Chopped Garlic will be sitting there in the Lid, its that easy. For cleaning carefully remove the blade which is sharp and either wash in warm soapy water or place in the dishwasher.

A great little kitchen tool for quickly and easily chopping garlic. I use a lot of garlic in some of my cooking, and this Garlic Zoom by Chef'n works quite well. Simply peel the cloves and pop them in the Zoom. I usually roll the Zoom across the palm of my hand, the more you roll the finer the chopped garlic. Top the Zoom on your worktop every now and again to ensure all of the garlic goes past the blades.
Although it's a faff to use this just to chop one clove, use a knife and chopping board instead, if you want to chop a few cloves in one go this tool is really useful.
I've dropped one star from the review as sometimes it's a fiddle to get all of the chopped garlic out of the Zoom. I usually tap the Zoom against the side of the pan to get all the garlic out, or use a knife to dig it out.
Cleaning is easy, just rinse it under hot water just after you've used it, or pop it in the dishwasher.

I had wanted to buy one of these for ages as I thought it would be a great solution to chopping garlic - one of my least favorite tasks!
The product itself is sturdy and looks good and it does chop the garlic for you exactly as it says it will but when it comes to getting the garlic out it is very fiddly. The design of the Zoom means that there are several channels in the bottom of the chamber for the baldes to go through and the garlic gets stuck in these as well as other nooks and crannies in the chamber. To get the garlic out you either have to use the tip of a small knife or a small spatula (becasue I bought the standard size one it needs to be a VERY small knife or spatula) or your finger all of which defeats the purpose of using this to chop the garlic and avoiding smelly fingers!
If you are reasonably confident with a knife I would suggest just checking out Jamie Oliver's website for tips of chopping garlic rather than buying this. It looks like it will turn into an ornament in my drawer simply because removing the garlic is so fiddly it is easier to chop the garlic and scrape it off the chopping board.

I used to use this product all the time and it did a fine job. The garlic bits can be a bit of a pain to get out. My solution was usually to open the top flap and pour a little bit of water in, close the flap and shake it a little - then dump the contents into my cooking. It usually got most of the garlic out.
I didn't like how after I washed it a few times, some dirt and water got trapped inside the actual outer casing of the thing. It wasn't touching the food, but still it was gross and impossible to clean out - so it looked perpetually dirty.
the little plastic piece that holds the axel of the wheels in place detached after a few uses. The piece snaps back into place, but not with the same strength it had originally, so it continues to come off now and then.
I don't use this product very often anymore because of the dirt trapped inside and the broken axel-holder-inner (haha!), but it chopped garlic just fine for me before i quit using it.
