As a primary school teacher, I have read this book to various classes a number of times, and it has never failed to disappoint. The story of the relationship between a lonely boy (tempoarily separated from his mother) and a gargoyle who comes to life every full-moon; is enjoyable, moving and rewarding. The book is cleverly written, though parts of it leave a little too much to the imagination for some children to cope with. I personally have also enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to children and adults alike.
