I have also reviewed the 3 tier version of this. I think this is a great little greenhouse alternative for those who haven't the space for a huge glass beasty.

Like the other reviewer, I've not had a problem with the plastic ripping or zips coming away.

When it is empty it blows over easily, but it does have ties on the back to attach it to a fence.

I've had a lot of success with mine and it keeps heat in very well. This is a very efficient greenhouse and is easily accessible to water the plants.

The plastic cover is well made and thick, it covers the frame completely and snugly. The plastic cover is easy to wash if it gets grubby by giving it a quick hose down.

I think this would benefit from a zippable air vent during the hot summer days so that you don't necessarily have to open the door to keep it from over heating.

The shelves are metal with a weatherproof coating, they are pretty solid and once in almost stop any frame wobble.

I've just received and 'installed' one of these so I thought that I'd add my two-penneth as the other reviews had been so helpful to me.

If you want a quick answer about whether to buy or not then:
It'll do the job well enough but you will need to improvise and don't expect top quality!

If you want details read on:
The item in the box is surprisingly light and this should make you realise that the price you have paid for your 'greenhouse' is reflected in the quality and design. The assembly also quickly reminds you of the same with horizontal poles being an uncomfortably tight fit. This caused splits in at least 4 of the plastic 'female' ends (as I read elsewhere) but this does NOT compromise the structure at all. Vertical poles were a better fit, slightly too loose (I found) but easily fixable with masking tape. Once all the levels were together I was pleasantly surprised at the solidity of the structure, none of the extra bracing needed that I'd planned! I secured the shelves in place using cable ties and (carefully) fitted the plastic cover which is very thin with light duty zips. These will needs careful use if they are to last! It fitted perfectly though (as did the free fleece cover), not too tight nor too loose.

So there we have it, a greenhouse ready for your delicate new (or old) plants. Well not quite. You will need to weigh this thing down (a bag of compost fits perfectly) AND tether it securely (2 bungees around the structure and hooked to a wall did it for me) or that will probably be the last you see of your pride and joy it once the wind blows. It won't take too many knocks either so do this on the day you put it outside! For the price (albeit with half a day's work and a couple of quid in extras) it has put a smile on the face of 'her indoors' (my better half) who has big plans for next year's vegetable plot! Hope this helps somebody.

I read the reviews left for this mini greenhouse and decided to take a chance. I am absolutely delighted with it and unlike the previous reviewers have had no trouble with the greenhouse being at all unsteady. I do agree with the last reviewer though who suggested a small opening at the top to save unzipping the whole cover. It was packaged well and was delivered before the estimated delivery date.

All in all this greenhouse is good value for money and I would recommend this greenhouse to anyone who wanted it for bringing seeds or plug plants on.

It is now 2013 and my mini greenhouse is still standing proudly in my garden doing the job of bringing plants & seeds on. I even store my garden bench seat covers on the bottom shelf whilst not in use during the summer! I really don't know what I would do without it, such a good buy!

I have 3 of these greenhouses and am overall very happy with them. The only thing you cannot do is forget to open the door by 12pm at the latest. Even in early April if it is a sunny day the temperature has reached over 50c and seedlings on the top shelf literally fry. I learnt my lesson the hard way!! On the reverse side of the heat issue, they retain their heat throughout the night very well and I've never seen the temp fall below 10c even when outside it is down to 3/4c. They tend to have some minor stability issues that are easily resolved. A good buy at the price.

I bought the four-tier greenhouse as a way of propogating seeds, and to keep half-hardy plants from frost damage over the winter. It is very easy to construct, and does it's job, in keeping warmth and moisture in very well. The plastic cover fits right to the bottom of the frame, which means it is very snug for the plants in there. Ulike other reviewers of this type of greemhouse, I have not found a problem with the zips coming apart from the cover - perhaps the manufacturers have corrected this fault. The only problem is that the frame, constructed from metal tubing and plastic, is a bit wobbly, as the joints can't be tightened up in any way. I had three planter trays on each shelf, and the whole structure veered rather alarmingly to the left, so I had to attach it with string to the wall to prevent it falling over. I also put some plastic sheet on each shelf, because I found that when watering, the drips disturbed the soil in the seed trays below.

Still, what do you expect for £20? It more or less does its job, and my lettuces are now coming on well.
