I was expecting an arch this cheap to be pretty poor quality, but it wasn't. There's nothing wrong with the look of the arch once you get it up, with the possible exception of the fact that it can be quite hard to get the sides perfectly straight, due to the number of joins in them, and possibly me not having tightened the screws to maximum tightness (but I did manage to get mine pretty good). It's now standing in my garden looking expensive and beautiful (there's nothing wrong with the texture of the surface either, which my boyfriend was expecting there to be at that price, i.e. it does not look plasticky). Am thoroughly impressed. I did drop it one star due to the fact that it may not be quite as sturdy as some are seeking (it's certainly sturdy enough for the vine I'm growing up it, but it might not like a really heavy plant and it would probably not survive children attempting to climb it), and I'm not convinced it's possible to get the sides as straight as if they'd come as a single, solid piece (they're tubes that you put together with screws like Meccano).

I find these arches just right and easy to assemble. I have quite a lot of these (hence the word addiction ). They are easy to place and look stylish in the black. Also being black they blend in well with the surroundings without taking the beauty away from the climbers that grow over them. I will proberbly purchase more at some point. Thankyou.

My old wooden archway had rotted away, so I needed something that would fit in a bespoke gap in my garden. This archway is so easy to construct on its side, and all the parts bolt easily together - all you need is a phillips screwdriver and away you go.
Actually erecting it in the ground was easy too, but I would recommend NOT pushing on the crossbars to embed it further, as they do bend easily. However, within 15 mins I had a perfectly formed arch in place of my rickety old one which was so easy to put up, I am now looking round the garden to see if I can find space for another!
Brilliantly priced for a neat framework to encourage my climbing plants when they sprout again in spring. Highly recommended.

Complete rubbish
Almost impossible to properly assemble (as in, assemble and stay assembled). Screws should be self-tapping but are too flimsy and cheaply made to tap into the metal poles. Read more
