I found this book in a library and do not want to return it back now :). Which is why I am buying it now. If you like me tried to put together plants and it did not necessarily work out that well - then this book is for you and it will teach you how to combine plants and tell you about specific varieties that work best for your spot. More than that - choosing plants that work well together for any type of beds (deep shady, sunny, specific colour theme) indeed becomes easy. The book provides 42 different beds (each bed for the size 4m long, 2m deep) with photographs and descriptions of all listed plants and how to look after them. I always take this book when I go to nurseries for an exciting shopping - it saves your money since you know exactly what to look for!

This is most certainly the best gardening book that I have ever read, it makes everything so simple, and you end up with a beautiful garden at the end!

This is a brilliant book, full of excellent ideas for planting a wide variety of garden beds. The lay out is deceptively simple, easy to use but has all the information that you need. And the drawings and photos are also of a high standard. It is good for beginners and experienced gardeners. We borrowed a copy from the library and ended up buying our own from Amazon Marketplace. Highly recommended.

Grossly disappointed
I was hoping for a book that would indeed give tips and advice on making gardening easier i.e. how to control weeds, lay out to make work easier, the best tools to use etc. etc. Read more
