An unfortunate buy,

I bought this with high hopes of it being a kitchen compost solution. However the seal in the lid falls off every time you open it and is very difficult to get back on. The lid doesn't sit straight or very rarely and although this is not a major problem it is annoying. Finally I have had this product for less than 4 months and already the lid is going rusty at the screws that join the handle on. I would recommend buying a different one to this with a more robust and good quality feel.

It's OK but has gone rusty,

I've has this about 3 months and it is pretty good. It has a nice bucket inside that you can pull out and wash. However it has gone rusty where the handle is connected to the lid, remains to be seen if the handle will remain attached.
Update: the seal ring has now come off the lid with usage and so it is no longer air tight

We have tried several bins, and this one beats them all! It is easy to clean, keeps the smells away, has no breakable parts, and looks great! It is just the right size to handle 2 days' worth of compost (for 3 people). What else can one say about a compost bin. We highly recommend it. A++
