This book provides a wonderful introduction to garden lighting and would be useful to discerning householders as well as designers. It takes the subject well beyond what can be found in gardening magazines, the do-it-yourself shop, or the garden centre. The explanations of lighting effects are clear and well supported with examples and common-sense illustrations. Although the technical content is limited to a layman's level, I found it gave a good basic understanding of what can be achieved. More information on fittings and where to get them would have been useful, but I found out more about that from the author's web site... He even replied to a technical question I sent by e-mail.
