Robust and very practical, the Newby Chair has attractive scalloped seat edges and a very comfortable curved back. The wide, flat arms give lots of room for you to relax, while the final touch is an integral footrest, which glides out from under the seat to turn the armchair into a superb sun lounger.

The chair arrived very quickly, when I was told it would, so that was a good start. My husband assembled it with ease - instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow plus all the bits necessary were there!!!! Had a practice sit in it, but need the sunshine to get full benefit. It is well finished, very strong and good design. Thinking we may give it another coat of some protective stuff before use. Would would highly recommend the product and the company.

We bought this to go with the adirondack rocking chair (Bowland). It arrived promptly, was easier to assemble (in my humble opinion) than the rocker, as the slidey out thing has all been already incorporated into the seat bit. I have painted my chair brightly glossy green (including the slidey foot rest) and it looks the business. What the picture does not show is that the right arm on mine has a 'hollow' or indent the size of the base of a pint glass - obviously custom built for my pint of Scrumpy Jack of an evening. I consider my new chair to be an excellent addition to my sussex garden summer idyll.

Fantastic garden furniture. Extremly easy to assemble by following the easy to understand instructions. Spent additional time in strongly securing the curved back to the curved formed - no power screwdriver available!! Hey presto a superb seat for relaxing and having a quite drink - recess for glass provided!! Too only 47 minutes to assemble. Another 90 minutes to varnish once assembled. I am ordering 2 more and will prime, paint and varnish before assembling but for first attempt - excellent. Could not understand the 4 brass bolts on each side - but loosen them and the chair folds down - mega bonus.
Excellent garden furniture, fantastic for the children to paint.
PS 2 months later - have now bought 2 more and shipped to Cyprus!

Adirondeck Wooden Patio Chairs

awful quality split after a week
These chairs have split within a week and are awful quality - almost balsa wood thickness. The Arms have split as have the pivot pieces which hold the backrest on. Read more
