The USB Gamepad Ergonomic Slim is recommended for users of Super Nintendo emulation on the PC who are tired of using their keyboard as a controller. The controller, for better or for worse, echoes the design of the original Super Nintendo controller and is almost exactly like playing on the actual controller. The controller works in the two leading emulation programs ZSnes and Snes9x and even works in other emulation programs for other consoles such as Gens for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. The USB Gamepad simply plugs in and is ready to use without any installation, aside from setting the keys in the emulation program. This pad is the cheaper and easier option rather than buying an actual SNES controller and a USB adaptor which is more costly. The cable length is 1.4m (4.6ft). My only gripes with it is that the directional pad is a bit sensitive, such as when you think you're pressing down but in reality you're actually pressing down-right. Also the shoulder buttons (L & R) tend to get stuck. In summary this controller is ideal for fighting games such as Street Fighter II which cannot accurately be emulated on a keyboard, and will no doubt bring back nostalgic memories for people fond of the Super Nintendo.

Fun:
A poor cheap and nasty attempt at a SNES controller. The buttons are horribly clicky and diagonal movement is almost impossible. Barely better than using a keyboard. If your looking for a decent SNES pad, you'll be better off with an original and a USB converter.

The buttons seemed all right, the D-pad feels okay, and the shoulder buttons are a bit hard but aren't too hard to push in.
While the controller feels okay, it doesn't actually work. I plugged it into my PC (Windows 7) and it just said "unknown device". I've searched for drivers and found nothing.
So that's a shame, really. It wasn't very expensive and it seems to be the only USB-SNES controller on Amazon. I'm going to have to get an SNES-PC adapter and official SNES controller instead.

Works with Linux and SNES Emulator
I plugged this in, booted up Linux (latest Ubuntu version), mapped the various buttons of the gamepad with bindings on SNes emulator (Zsnes) and started playing. Read more

Cheap and not enough like the SNES pads

Great money-saving solution, but doesn't work on a Mac
It's not the best joystick you can have, but is quite cheap and fully functional. The buttons feel a bit loose...

Bad Product
Not a good controller, some of the buttons don't work properly and the plastic is just cheap. It's ok for playing games like Mario but if you like your fighting games it's useless... Read more
