Brill. series - especially as I read them in sequence this time. Excellent Spy / Cold War stories.

One of the most gripping and involving cold war spy stories I have read. The characters and locations inhabit a totally believable world that you get sucked in to. You get drawn in to care about many of the characters - not such a clear cut line between goodies and baddies - they all have their points. I bought it to read on holiday but ended up finishing it beforehand. And of course a great treat is in store in that there are six more books - two trilogies - to follow. I can't wait.

5.0 out of 5 stars Full set 4 Mar 2012
By J. Lamb
Format:Hardcover
This is an excellent series which takes you back to the cold war. Well written and engaging right from the off.
If you like your spy series with a bit of thought then this is for you. It is not the high tech car chasing jumping off buildings that is characteristic of more modern books (nothing wrong with those mind you) but this is atmospheric, and provides a great insight to this time.
Don't be afraid of getting all three (and look then for the 'Spy' series - Hook Line & Sinker).

bought this as a gift for a friend who hadn't read any of these novels. Doesn't appear to be available in the omnibus version in new books. reasonable condition and he was happy with it.
