TEAAAAAAA 26 Sep 2002

Format:DVD
This original pilot series is a brilliantly funny sitcom that appealed to the twentysomething generation of the mid nineties.Matthew, Mandy and Martin are three twentysomethings who share a flat in London, Mandy and Martin both work but Matthew does'nt need to, as his parents are both deceased and he lives off their inheritance. He also has phobia of the outside world so he never leaves the flat and therefore spends his days finding ways of amusing himself in the daytime, which essentially is how the series works. The episode 'Matthew a suitable case for treatment' will make you look at Reservoir Dogs and Taxi Driver in a whole new light! The subsequent series were never quite as good, as the star Ben Chaplin (Matthew) went on to bigger and better things in Hollywood. His replacement Neil Stuke never quite captured the cool, sarcastic and bored character of the original Matthew quite as well. This is definately one to watch when you are bored and having a sickkie at home

Can't get enough !! 10 Nov 2003

This show extraordinary !! I can't recall how many times I have watched the episodes and I am still laughing so much. I can't get enough !! When will the other seasons be on DVD !!
All the actors are so great and the stories are really one of a kind. I've never ever seen anything like this before. No-one would take it first degree, the topics are mainly about sex and pushing the subject to extreme but in a very unusual way. Well I am French and I have to admit (!!) that I love the British for daring this kind of show !
Everyone should buy this DVD and help me get the other seasons on DVD right away !!!

This was one of the funniest series of the 90s and i find it a bit sad how it has now been nearly completely forgotten! I thought the first series was much better than the second two, primarily because Ben Chaplin was so brilliant as the sarcarstic, cutting house mate. His constant put downs of Martin and piss takings of Mandy were brilliant. The replacement actor Neil Stuke just lacked that certain something and it was never the same again. A must see!

TEA!
Given its high cringe factor, ludicrous situations and lampooning of agoraphobes, it was a comedy I thought I'd easily forget. Read more

First Class Entertainment!!!
This is absolutely brilliant, all six episodes are classics, it's a shame that Ben Chaplin left after this series as the following two were noticeable by his absence. Read more
