Product Description

Off the court, tennis star Jason Cartwright's playboy image is taking a public beating. On the court, he's down forty-love. A knee injury is shutting down his game, and the paparazzi are splashing his love life on every magazine. A comeback is in order, but the makeover he needs to save his faltering career is in the hands of the woman he loved and left fifteen years ago.

While single-mom, Izzy Connors, sees people for who they really are through the lens of her camera, even without it, she knows Jason isn't the star he appears to be. Although his charm and good looks haven't dimmed since he broke her heart, all she sees is his wasted talent and playboy lifestyle.

Can Izzy put the past behind her and help Jason get his game, and his image, back on track? Or will the click of her camera shatter his world as well as his heart?

About the Author

Nana's love of all things romance and adventure started with a tattered romantic suspense she borrowed from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters. Waiting for her chance at a job as a ninja assassin, in the meantime Nana works out her drama, passion and sass with fictional characters every bit as sassy and kick butt as she thinks she is. Though, until that ninja job comes through, you'll find her acting out scenes for hubby, baby and puppy while catching up on her favorite reality television shows in sunny San Diego.

1.0 out of 5 stars Crude and thoroughly disappointing 30 Nov 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
In Chapter One we meet the female lead. I immediately liked the character and what we're told of her life and wanted to know more.

In Chapter Two we meet the male lead. Another interesting character and by page 30 we've got a couple of engaging individuals and some supporters who are more than just props.

In Chapter Three the two leads meet and the author forgets she is (in her own words) writing "A Humorous Contemporary Romance" and veers sharply towards soft porn. Why is it that since E.L. James so many new authors seem to think that their characters have to be graphically fornicating by page 50?

I persevered another 50 pages by which time some of the dialogue had descended to the same level as the unnecessary sex scenes. I won't pretend I finished the book because I didn't.

3.0 out of 5 stars A pleasant read 17 Jun 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Izzy, the leading lady of this book did not completely appeal to me but despite that fact, I did enjoy this story. I did hesitate a little before downloading it as I'm not too keen on books with sporting themes but as it was free I though I'd give it a go. Well I have to say that it was pretty OK. The leading man Jason the on-the-skids tennis player was interesting but I felt that Izzy was often just too soft and just too forgiving with him. But what's a girl to do when it's true love I guess.

This is an undemanding holiday read and with Wimbledon just around the corner it's come at the right time!

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a love match winner 8 Jun 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Brilliant book! Loved Nana Malone's Protectors series so thought I'd give this a try as it was a freebie. Fantastic decision! Read it all in one go as I couldn't wait to find out if Izzy got her happy ever after with Jason. Great secondary characters in Nick and Jessica - can't wait to read MisMatch and find out what happens next for Jessica. Buy this book!

1.0 out of 5 stars love all...but not like 31 July 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I was very disappointed in this, I just couldn't 'get into' the story. I struggled on for four chapters and then I'm afraid I gave up; it was becoming a chore rather than a joy. I found the characters flat and the story slow. It may well have got a lot better but, I didn't stick around to find out. Maybe the language style was just too American for my British ear.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just ok 5 July 2013
By katmel
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This was an ok read, not demanding at all and good for reading by the pool or on the beach. The story ending was somewhat predictable but that's ok. I did not enjoy the bad language or the gratuitous sex scenes which I felt were totally over-the-top. For this reason I will not be buying the sequel (even if it's free as this one was!)

I'm afraid I gave up after the first chapter. Totally uninvolving and rather silly. It's been Kindle archived already. Can't recommend..

I guessed the plot within the first couple of chapters. It was a nice, easy read though which was free.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not my cup of tea!
This book is probably OK if you like to read girly romantic stuff that's a bit predictable. It wasn't really for me, but I finished it, so not all that bad.
