5.0 out of 5 stars Oh for the chance to meet a man like Chance! 5 Aug 2000
Format:Paperback
I loved this book. Like many, after the story of Wolf and Mary, Joe and Caroline,Zane and Barrie and then Maris and Alex, I was DESPERATE for a story about Chance. Ms Howard hasn't let us down - this is passionate, entertaining, full of the love we have come to expect from the Mackensie clan.

It filled in the gaps as to Chance's history, and it was believeable - Chance was never going to fall for Ms Ordinary. Sunny was a fantastic heroine - strong, passionate, and had already proved herself more than capable of looking after herself. A more than suitable match for Chance.

I will miss the Mackensie's - I reread them every so often to remind myself that such stories can be written - and I salute you Ms Howard - I am a lifelong fan and am now the proud owner of all your books. I would love to read Nick's story, but perhaps that is for the future. For now, I return to Chance and Sunny one more time, and the opportunity to see how some of the 'older' characters have got on since last we met.

Once again I thank you for giving your fans what they craved - another book to treasure.

4.0 out of 5 stars good read but could have been better 29 July 2000
Format:Paperback
Having heard that Linda Howard wrote this book under duress from her fans, it was a lot better story than I had expected. We had a long time to wait for Chance's story and here it is. At least it wasn't a short story like Maris Mackenzie's and we do get to meet some of the family we love from the other books in the series :) I am glad she wrote the book but the steamy sexual tension Linda Howard now creates in her books could have been hotter. If you love Wolf and his family you must buy this book, now we wait for the further adventures of Zane's daughter Nick, she is going to break hearts and give her Daddy many grey hairs when she starts dating. Please Ms Howard take note and give us another Mackenzie book! I give this book 4 stars not 5.

4.0 out of 5 stars Linda Howard has done it again!!!!!! 17 Mar 2001

Another great read about the MACKENZIE clan The interaction between Sunny and Chance was tender, sensual and riveting. I couldn't as with all this family put it down. The love this family has between each other and the partners it welcomes is heartwarming. You feel as if this is a real family. It was so nice to give a man who had known so little love a woman with plenty to give. Please please Ms Howard give Sunny,s sister a right to deserve love. What a joy to your fans if you could write her story And as with a lot of other fans WHAT ABOUT NICK's story
