Here are some readers's comments about this series posted on Goodreads:
'Im pleased to say that I found this book an easy read and was an entertainer. It is a detective story set in the style of Agatha Christie / Miss Marple. I found each of the story a fast read and was crisp and to the point. And in between these shorter stories, goes the main story thread and also the life of Jane, which is what sets it apart - You get to know about the detective and not just the case!'
'Another gem. Enjoyable, funny and poignant in parts. Great stuff'
'Wonderful - great charachters and plot! Thoroughly enjoyed!'

I was really lucky to win a copy of this book in one of the Goodreads giveaways. It was the first book by Nina Jon that I've read, and have to say I'll definitely be on the look out for more.
This was the third in the series about Jane Hetherington, but absolutely fine as a stand alone novel.
The book is written in a very readable style, with characters who are fun to get to know. Each chapter is imaginatively titled and they're pretty short, so you can just manage a chapter or two if you're really pushed for time!
I liked the way the book is put together, and how Ms Jon cleverly runs three or four minis story-lines concurrently without getting in any muddle. Mrs Hetherington, a late developing private eye deals with three cases in this book, and they're refreshingly 'ordinary' [by which I mean the sort of thing a real PI might get to do in their run of the mill work rather than the more usual gruesome murder and deceit of some novels]
I enjoyed this book, and will look for more. Thank you particularly to Nina Jon for her generosity
