Despite being basic in the extreme, the experiments in this set simply didn't work. It turned into the most disappointing present of all time.

The box looks more interesting than the actual contents inside. Normal household products like sugar and yeast. Could have looked up the experiments on the internet and done it ourselves. Waste of money.

Firstly I am not someone to write reviews of things - positive or negative - however I was compelled to do so by how bad this 'kit' is. I have so far done all bar one of the so-called experiments with my 7 year-old son and after each experiment his response has been a combination of:

- Is that it? (Yep)
- What happens next? (unfortunately nothing that was it!)
- Why isn't it working? (it is - that's it)

The only thing the kit contains that we did not have in the house already was 8 Petri dishes and some gelatin and so you could easily do most of the 'experiments' by looking them up on the internet and using stuff lying about the house.

How anyone thought that a child would be excited by putting some bits of bread in a balloon, adding some vinegar and squeezing the contents back out again is beyond me - (guess what you get some bread mixed with vinegar!).

I would urge anyone not to buy this toy - it is not interesting, educationtal or fun in anyway and represents very bad value for money!

This is a Christmas gift for my 5 year old who is becoming rather fond of, and amused by noisy and gross bodily functions! I thought this might be good fun for all of the family over Christmas and I'm expecting a lot of mess and giggling.

It was, in my opinion, good value for money, and I'd recommended it for kids (and parents) who have a healthy interest in toilet humour!!!!

It arrived well packaged and in quick time.

I think I had more fun doing this than my son. He found it really educational, all the experiments worked really well. The best was growing nasty things on the Petri dish.
