Too many basic errors
on 5 September 2013
The same can be said for all of this series of Rebecca King's books. The story line was good and I did enjoy them but some basic research and proof reading from someone who knows this period of English history would have picked up these boobs. For example, a scabbard is NOT a weapon - it is the sheath or covering for a sword. To continually read that he drew his scabbard made my teeth ache!!! Also, please research how the peerage are addressed. Sir Hugo Dunnicliffe would NEVER be called Sir Dunnicliffe, he would be called Sir Hugo. Also counties in England are not all shires. For example , it should be County Durham, not Durhamshire. Please do a little more research and I'll still buy the next book!
