Each blend is associated with a beautiful image and a few words. On average, every blend has about 3 words associated with it. It s a great tool for building your child s vocabulary. We were strongly impressed by these cards! They are beautiful and grabbed our toddler's attention right away. The construction is sturdy and each card has a nice array of words that demonstrate the letter being taught. These are wonderful for daycares and even those parents who want to help improve their children's alphabet skills at home. We highly recommend these and we are going to use them for the new baby as well.

Our grand child loves these cards. He wants us to play with him and the cards all the time. He brings the cards to me and points at the images.
The cards are very pretty, with great artwork. They have helped our grandson increase his vocabulary and object recognition. The cards are large and very colorful and a very good looking set. They capture a large number of words and feature Upper and Lower case letter. It also has a set of cards teaching phonics.
These cards have definitely helped improve his learning skills.

These are the most beautiful flashcards that I have ever seen!

The Alphabet and Phonics Flash Cards from Galloping Minds are the most beautiful flashcards that I have seen so far. I have purchased many different sets of flashcards for my son and these are the best out there. I wish that this was the first set that I bought because I wouldn't have had to waste any money on the others.
The reason I am so pleased with these particular flash cards is because they offer so much more than all the others combined. Usually you will see flashcards that show the letter on one side and an object that starts with that letter on the other. These flashcards show the letter in both uppercase and lower case on one side but when you flip it over you'll see a photo of an object with the word underneath plus three other words that start with the same letter. So "A" is not just for "apple" anymore it is also for ant, arm and ax.
Each flash card has a different color background and the photos are of actual objects. The cards are of high quality, very durable and they are huge. I used to be a kindergarten teacher and these are big enough for a teacher to use in a classroom. They measure 6 inches tall by 4 inches wide which is very generous in my opinion. The cards are really impressive, they are so glossy and thick which protects them from spills and rips. Even the box that they come in is unusually durable I hope to hold on to these for a long time.
In addition to the alphabet cards there are also bonus cards that come with the set. The extra cards teach consonant blends, vowel dipthongs, consonant digraphs and vowel digraphs. I have always found these tricky to teach but my son really grasped it once I started using these cards. A consonant digraph is when the letters P and H next to each other make an F sound as in phone. Before these cards my son just looked at me as if I had 2 heads and ultimately he got that glazed over look and it was clear to me that I lost him. With these cards it just clicked for him and it made it so easy on me to finally teach it to him. Now that he has learned everything this set had to teach him he is reading like crazy and he loves it. Overall, if you are in the market for a great set of alphabet and phonics flashcards you cannot go wrong with these.

I just recently received my own set of Galloping Minds' Alphabet and Phonics Flashcards, and I'm glad to say, I was pleasantly surprised. For a just price, buyers receive an unjustly good product. All of the cards are big - so they aren't too easy to lose.
I'm not a parent, I actually picked these up for my baby brother, and so far, he's loved them. My baby brother's pretty artistic for a guy his age, and for the most part, he tries his best to trace the images - which wasn't even why I picked them up, but the fun pictures have him continually enthralled.
Each letter comes with a number of words so the little guy gets to improve his phonics with a variety of examples, so even our mother is happy with the product.
Once we got past the letters of the Alphabet, there was some bonus cards, another pleasant surprise for me since I hadn't looked over the entire description of the purchase!
So when it comes to phonics, he's even getting to pick up on vowel diagraphs, all at a young age, all from a product that he enjoys using.
