5.0 out of 5 stars Good machine, great coffee., 23 Aug 2004
This review is from: Gaggia silver Syncrony Digital coffee maker (Kitchen & Home)
If you read the instructions properly it explains on how to release the heat from the boiler if it is over temperature so you can continue using the machine. This process takes about 3-4 secs max and really isn't a problem and shouldn't even come into consideration if your thinking of buying this machine.
This is my first Bean to Cup espresso machine and i've got to say it comes highly recommended. Everyone who comes to visit loves the coffee, and a few of my friends have gone out and bought their own. If you've got the room and you like coffee then what are you waiting for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great coffee and almost maintenance free, 30 Dec 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Gaggia silver Syncrony Digital coffee maker (Kitchen & Home)
I bought my machine two years ago (factory reconditioned - from a Gaggia-approved 3rd party .... sorry Amazon UK).

The machine makes three different sizes of coffee - espresso, medium and large. These can be programmed to fit your cup sizes ... and you can make double portions automatically. The machine grinds beans freshly for each cup. There is also a capaccino steam frother. Hence you can bean-to-cup freshness with touch of single button. You can also use pre-ground coffee (but I never have).
Gripes: - none, but I have heard reports of this model breaking within warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic machine that makes great coffee, 4 Aug 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Gaggia silver Syncrony Digital coffee maker (Kitchen & Home)
I've had this machine for over 2.5 years. It has been fantastic, especially as previously I was buying Starbucks everyday! I did have a few teething problems and had to send it back (whatever you do, do not overtighten the brewing unit screw when cleaning, it just needs a little nip!!). But once, I learnt how to use and clean it, it was easy.

A TIP FOR THE KITCHEN AND HOME FAN in Sheffield - you don't have to wait for the machine to cool down after steaming. Just press the button to turn the steam off and then open the steam valve until water comes out and it says it is ready for use (takes about 5-10 seconds).

The coffee is so delicious I had to restrict myself to three double cappuccinos a day. If I want more the preground option is useful as I can use decaff preground coffee.

I love it and would recommend it to anyone.
