Gaggia is the best known Italian manufacturer of coffee machines for professional and household use and its name is synonymous with tradition and reliability the world over. The company was set up in 1947 by Achille Gaggia, the man to whom we are indebted for the success of espresso coffee all over the world. It was he who on September 5th 1938 filed a patent no 365726 with which modern steam-free coffee machines may be said to have been born. In 1977 Gaggia began producing coffee machines for the home, launching the Baby Gaggia, which to this day is considered to be the ideal family coffee maker. The designs and technological advances have changed the way the machines look and work but the objective of quality, reliability and the passion for the right espresso everytime has remained throughout Gaggia's history and this is what makes Gaggia legendary.

Fully automatic functions with LCD programmable control panel. The brewing unit is removeable for easy cleaning and descaling can be set at standard or automatic. The coffee quantity can be adjusted in addition to the grind setting. There is a twin boiler so you can make coffee and froth milk at the same time.

Brought this cooffe machine for my wife who loves lattes, as do I now. Machine looks great and works well always great coffee.
the relieabilty is something that you must consider as when it goes infor repair we really miss it and filtered or instant coffee tastes just so watery. We had the machine for a year before it first brokedown but since then with the help of couriers and the post office it has been back 12 times and thats not cheap. Gaggai always helpful and to be fair it is a good machine but when you pay over £600 it had better work for more than a year before it breaks down. I am now looking at other makes as we have paid for 3 machines by the time you add all the repair bills in and thats expensive coffee in anyones book.

Bought the Gaggia Titanium last Christmas as a prezzie to myself. Awesome coffee, instant will never do once you own one of these. The machine looks gorgeous and nothing beats the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Mine first went in for repair back in January as it started leaking like a sieve. A refundable £50 was paid out and the machine was away at Gaggia UK for almost a month. It has recently started leaking again. For the money I would expect a much more reliable machine. For quality of coffee & ease of use I'd rate it 5 stars, for reliability 1 star, not good when you consider it costs £600. Would I buy it again? Not unless the reliability improves.

We purchased this product from Peter Maturi in Leeds and would recommend this product if you have a spare £500+ to spare!

Why 4 stars? Well, the machine is just amazing. It makes fantastic coffee and it's just so easy. We very quickly adjusted the setting to full strength and fine grind to produce coffee the way we like it... Italian style in all it's glory.

As mentioned above, we have only had the machine a short while: 1 week, so you may question the reliability of my review and of the Gaggia(as mentioned by others). The reliability issue prompted us to visit the above store and seek out advice. The store talked us through various machines and did say that other brands such as Jura were more reliable, but not to a level that was excessive. The Gaggia was also a bit noisier than others, but we found the sound to add to its charm! The store did say that their experience of Gaggia was good and that on machines that had been returned due to a fault, the repair resolved the problem and was not seen again.

Just as a final note, this machine looks so cool in your kitchen. Yes it is an exorbitant amount of money to spend on coffee, it has a rival that is more reliable, but the coffee is sublime and it just oozes Italian style.

PS although we purchased from another retailer, I buy from Amazon with confidence and have found their customer service excellent.
