I'm writing after having used the Gaggia for two weeks.
I've been buying cheap espresso machines for the last 25 years and during that time the price has stayed the same but the machines have become progressively flimsier. I'm still seething that my last Krups lasted just over two years, compared to my first which lasted ten.
This Gaggia is mechanically simpler that the Krups and, as I see it, that means there's less to go wrong. It makes espresso to a professional standard - and I live in Italy, so I don't say that lightly. (I find that Lidl's own 100% Arabica is as good as Illy, Lavazza etc.)
Good value for money and it will save many times its cost compared to a capsule machine.

This machine produces great coffee with cremma, the pressure is good enough to produce the perfect blend of milk and froth. The effect is a cappuccino equal to any you can get in a good coffee house

At first I was very pleased with this product. I made several lovely latte's. However I have now been scolded twice due to the steam nozzle suddenly flying off! Consequently I am unable to trust it and am awaiting a reply from the seller regarding returning it :(
