I found, when revising for my Gaelic exam, that this book was very easy to use and refer too, helping me pass my course. Also the definitions of the words were good, explaining the words well. I now even bring this book on holiday with me to use it when I want to find out the meaning of certain Scottish place names like Claddach Carinish. It's a simply must buy book for Gaelic speakers!

This dictionary is widely regarded as the best dictionary for learners -- and I agree.
All the basic vocabulary is there, with a wide range of up-to-date technological terms thrown in for good measure.
If you're learning the language, then you should have this on your bookshelf.

Excellent for a small dictionary, except for the fact that there is no guide to pronunciation.
