This is a real waste of money - no matter you see that huge discount. First of all, the original Apple product has a SRP twice as low, only that it has a 0% discount, and this one has 65% discount. But even 95% are worthless, if the product doesn't do what it claims. I first connected it to a 26-inch LG TV and even though I didn't like the fact it only showed video and slideshows, but not the iPhone screen itself, things seemed normal. Then I moved to the bigger and better, 37-inch Samsung in the living room, and there started all the problems. This device hadn't ever showed a single signal problem, now I could hardly make the iPhone show on screen - most of the time the TV says "no signal" or "mode not supported". If you juggle with the cable going into the connectors, you may get an image for a while, which is an obvious proof that something is wrong with the cable contacts inside the connectors. By the way, the cable is moving there on both sides, the build quality is poor and it definitely doesn't look like something Apple would ever make! I tried 3 different HDMI cables that have no problem with any of the other devices connected to the same TV (and they worked at that moment perfectly) - no change. So the adapter is obviously not working well, and I wouldn't want to see a replacement, because even if it works, the build quality says it won't be for long.
