An excellent,readable biography of perhaps England's most influential painter of the Victorian era,well researched,notated and illustrated.The chapter on Rossetti's famous 'Luminous Beauties',alone,is worth the price of the book in itself.

A great book and it is entirely about Rossetti. Lovely illustrations in colour and most informative.
Lisa Tickner has conducted excellent research and has written a book which isn't too demanding to read. It only has 80 pages.
No hesitation in recommending this book to anyone interested in the Pre-Raphaelites.
