The ultimate training aid 6 Feb. 2007

Just to sit and watch these guys practice is inspiring but the thing to do is pause the video as you go and practice the drills. These are all the real world moves that anyone can do and win. You also get a feel for the speed and pace of the game. Excellent. We will wear this one out.

UPdate 12/11/2014: It was years ago when we bought this and my boys watched it. My younger boy won his section as a softmore and went to states. He was ranked 1st in the section as a Junior and went 40-0. His career ended with a neck injury in practice just before supers. Anyhow this was how it all started. Buy some riding and fishing movies too, Wrestling never lasts forever and 99% of the time ends in heartbreak with a loss or an injury.

Yeah, its good 1 May 2007

I've only been wrestling for 6 months. This is a great DVD. Dan explains the drill or technique in words. Then we see Dans wrestlers demonstrating the drill with Dan giving commentary, then we see the technique being done in real competition. What more could we ask for?

Its not cheap though $. But then I forgot the price when I saw the quality.

expert coaching in my home 27 May 2008

Dan Gable's coaching is helping my 7th grader get ready for a second wrestling season, and not struggle with such a steep learning curve. He loves this sport, and is watching "Wrestling Essentials" with great concentration in his spare time. I anticipate that he will be much better prepared, and confident next season.

I have a son who started wrestleing last year. I wrestled and wanted material to help me work with him. This is an excellent resource, heck I wish I had it back when I wrestled.

As a single mom that has a young wrestling son that needs to learn the 3essentails... this video is the best! Don't waste your time on other videos when Dan Gable has the best and most informative learning videos out there today! Thanks Dan for teaching this mom and son all the basics and beyond! We took second place at our first tournament (Jan 07).
