If you needed one book to keep you company whilst stranded on a desert island with your guitar then this is it! From the few tunes I've checked out since I just got my copy, "authentic" is an understatement. There appears to be no fooling these guys who put this tome together - from good ole Chuck Berry's Johnny B Goode in Bb to Thin Lizzy with notes about downtuning the guitars a semitone it looks spot on. All the guitar parts that are transcribed are presented in both full musical notation and tab so that you can polish up your sight reading at the same time!
With 150 songs in here, it has got something for every guitar player and its a great book just to dip into - one minute you can hone your Knopfler-esque style, the next [...] it up with a bit of Tony Iommi...
Definitely one of the best music resources I've ever bought.

WOW, this is an encyclopaedia!!!!! it has such a wide diversity of songs and to some extent genres, perfect for the rookie trying to improve or the pro just lookin for somethin else to play, if you don't want to have to buy another tab book for 5 years or so this is the daddy of them all and will, I promise, keep you occupied, locked away in a room, just you and your faithful guitar, plugging away at these songs until you are the guitar version of a jedi master.

Bands as diverse as Filter ( Take A Picture ) share pages with Blur ( Song 2 ) with Guns N Roses ( Sweet Child O' Mine )with Aerosmith ( Sweet Emotion ) . There's Foos , Hendrix , Joan Jett , The Allmans , The Sabs , David Bowie . Oh , you get the idea - get this book , and lose sleep whilst practicing until your fingers bleed !!!!!

There are not very many acoustic numbers in here, it's mostly songs that were recorded on an electric, so if you are looking for tab to add variety and improve your acoustic... Read more

Rock and blues encyclopedia
The book is a great reference for beginners. Transcriptions are accurate and complete. Range of music styles is wide and the book contains a lot of hits and classics.
