The Glen GU2TS 2kW upright fan heater is ideal for spot heating, when instantaneous heat is required. It's thermostatic control and choice of heat settings (including cool air setting) make this product an ideal heating solution for multiple applications, such as bedroom, home office or utility room, plus its compact styling makes the GU2TS easy to move from room to room as desired, and store away when not in use. The GU2TS is finished in light grey and meets stringent BEAB Intertek safety approvals..
Fan heaters are an excellent way of providing heat to cold areas quickly and effectively, and their small footprint makes them perfect for standing on a work surface, shelf or office desk. The most common output is 2kW, however for larger areas 3kW is a better solution. Look out for options such as heat settings to control the amount of energy used, plus a thermostat that can regulate the temperature of the room. Advanced features include climate control with LCD displays that monitor temperature drift more accurately than traditional thermostat models. Many models also have a cool air setting more useful in the summer monthsto help circulate the air.

Overall, heater works well for prolonged periods, transforming a chillie room into a warm and cosy one. Heat is emmitted as soon as unit is switched on. Slight noise from fan motor under normal usage. Unit is capable of maintaining a decent room temperature within any small to medium sized living/bedroom area. Running costs compared to other heating forms are competative. Out of a score of 10, I would give an impressive 8. Regards, J.

I bought this a couple weeks ago as it is winter and the boiler in my house isnt the best. It heats up a small room in a few minutes to a good degree. Good purchase for the current weather and makes it a lot easier to get out of bed in the morning as my room is heated very quickly. Its lightweight and quiet enough so its suitable in many rooms. I fully recommend it.

Bought this because there was one being used where I worked. It transformed a previously icy-cold office into a pleasant work area and so I purchased one for home use. Again it didn't disappoint. It's not complicated to use. You plug it in, turn the two dials on the top to the desired temperature setting, and very soon your room is pleasantly transformed. It also has a thermostat that switches it on and off according to room temperature, so it saves money as well. I paid 16.99 for it but I notice it's gone up to 23.73 now.

The reason we purchased this heater was because our old Glen heater finally burnt out after many years of constant service,Model type GLUF 200.We were going to buy another, but Glen have replaced it with the GU2TS,by comparison the old model gave out far more heat than the new one.As seems to be the case these days new models look better but performance does not live up to look.

Quite a good little heater heating my home office quickly and not too noisily. The thermostat works well keeping the room at a constant temperature whilst switching the heater on and off to save juice. My only criticism would be the dial switches are virtually impossible to read as the numbers are cast into the dial switches so no contrast, but once you've figured out that the left one is the thermostat and is set at a temperature you are happy with, all you have to do is turn the other dial so it is fully on to get the 2kw setting. If, like me, you don't want to heat the whole house during the day just the room you are in it's a great little heater.

This fire serves the purpose I bought it for.I had a fan heater for many years in my shed but time and use ended it's life.I tried a normal glass element fire but didn't warm up the shed quick enough,so I bought this Glen 2K fan heater and now heats the whole shed in seconds,and you can regulate the amount of heat you need so can be used anywhere in the home

This is heater is amazing! Instant heat from such a small discreet heater.
My mother has an electric meter at her house,so I put the heater to the test. It costs around 26p per hour on full power and heat, but there's really no need to leave it on for such long times as it will be too hot in the house otherwise.

When my 30-year old Hoover fan heater (3kw) broke down I needed a new one. I thought I'd try an upright fan heater and this one (2kw) sounded good value ([...]). On first trying it I was disappointed by the low heat setting (1kw); it felt (and still does) like a cool draught. On full power it gives a pleasant warmth and the fan noise is not loud. The thermostat is efficient. It looks good, but the markings on the control knobs are hard to read.
