Welcome to Megacity and to your new job: Bus Driver!
Get behind the steering wheel of one of the many bus models featuring in Bus Simulator 2008. Master the countless tracks in the fictional city of Megacity, transport as many passengers as possible and keep to the time plan. Reckless driving and unpunctuality will result in a bad reputation. The more successful you are as a bus driver the longer and more complex the tracks become.
Choose from 8 different bus models, including City buses, Long-distance buses and Double Decker's or download further bus models via the internet. To rent larger models you need the extra cash and only paying passengers will result in enough cash flow necessary to run the bus company. You can invest in ad campaigns and special offers to attract more customers to generate a larger income.
There are 34 missions to complete which take you through a series of different districts (city, industrial, business centre etc), various types of weather conditions (sunshine, snow, ice, rain, fog) and different times of the day. Show that you have what it takes to become the next bus entrepreneur and compete for the top spot on the world-wide high score list.
No matter if you are a beginner or pro, this is a simulation that will challenge everybody.

Fun:
Now before anyone says, i am not a bis freak, i just enjoy simulations, and own just about every simulator game going, be it: trains, planes, ships or in this case a Bus Simulator.
Ill agree with most comments on here about game-play, it is kinda weak, i also own bus driver which i thought was kinda cool, and thought i would get this game, but there are a few problems with it, let me list them:
1) the graphics are OK, but even on a top end machine like mine (Intel Pentium 4 3.4gig, 2gig RAM 256mb nVidia Graphics) it does jump and skip about.
2) the Game Play is just poor, the steering is utterly unrealistic even at the best of times, to sharp and abrupt.
3) Continuing on from the game play, you appear to be crashing into objects all the time regardless if you hit them or not (a prime example is going past a tree, and people scream and the bus stops)
4) another problem is that there are no directions to the next stop (which is annoying) so you find yourself (if you can put up with the game-play that is) driving round for ages, and guessing the stops.
Personally, if your a simulation freak like i am, i suggest you get Bus Driver, and not bus simulator, its weak, jumpy, skippy even with the patch downloads from the website it's still rank.

Fun:
Trust me and avoid. There are problems in installing in Vista, its jerky and unpleasant,...the gameplay is poor. As other reviews have mentioned, the paches make little difference (actually in mine I think performance levels decreased!) and all in all its just an insult. Why do we keep falling for it!

This is one of the worst game ever made with 3dgamestudio.
In germany it was a hyper flop and the english version will not be better. Developed by some hobby freaks with a very bad feeling for game play, animation, sound and coding. Compare it with the reviews on amazon.de.
Believe me. FIRST play the demo and then buy some other stuff.

I Wouldn't Recommend
If you want a really good and realistic simulator for driving buses purchase "Bus Driver" made by SCS Software. Its far more realistic and enjoyable. Read more
